Trust Advisors are responsible for understanding and meeting the fiduciary needs of the clients they serve.



Trust Advisors are responsible for knowing their clients circumstances, as well as understanding their client’s goals and objectives. Trust Advisors must fully understand the terms and provisions of the trust documents they are assigned to administer as well as faithfully execute the duties and responsibilities specified under the trust document. Trust Advisors must fully understand the family’s estate plan in the context of the family’s overall goals and objectives. Trust Advisors must be technically proficient in the legal, tax and operational aspects of estate planning and be considered estate planning subject matter experts.



Trust Advisors are responsible for delivering proactive estate planning advice to their clients.



Trust Advisors are expected to stay abreast of the latest estate planning developments, that knowledge combined with their knowledge of their client’s circumstances enables trust advisors to deliver appropriate, relevant and meaningful estate planning suggestions to their clients and their other advisors.



Trust Advisors must be capable of establishing a strong, trusting relationship with the families they serve and be considered by the family to be a key advisor and confidant; an individual the family trusts and relies upon.





Responsible for ongoing development of Trust business within PWM. Works closely with PWM associates as Trust product expert to meet client’s trust and wealth transfer need by:

Understanding the key features and benefits of personal trust and fiduciary services and effectively articulating the features and benefits of each personal trust product or fiduciary service to bank partners, PWM partners, COI’s, and prospects.

Developing and maintaining an on-going and effective communication contact plan with designated internal partners to educate market constituents on the features and benefits of trust and wealth transfer products and services, including participating in CMP sessions.

Educating clients and prospects on features and benefits of investment management, trust and wealth transfer products and services

Works with team members to plan for and prepare client and prospect presentations, but is responsible for the design of any customized personal trust or fiduciary proposals.

Identifying and prioritizing cross-sell opportunities and introducing specialist/team to capture opportunities with existing clients and prospects



Coordinates with Market Leadership and the Office of Chief Fiduciary in working with Centers of Influence (Attorneys, CPA’s, etc) and other external marketing efforts in support of new business opportunities.



Trust Advisors should be involved in the legal community through active participation on local or national estate planning councils or boards. Trust Advisors should be actively engaged and involved with professional groups.



Responsible for management of fiduciary risk as well as compliance with all trust policies.



Trust Advisors should understand and comply with all applicable polices and procedures



Other duties as necessary to support achievement of organization objectives.



 

Qualifications



MBA, CPA, CTFA, JD, CFP or in process of obtaining one of these professional designations

3-5 years or equivalent work experience with proven success in personal trust sales/advisory role

Solid understanding of Trust Product capabilities and enthusiastic about opportunities to serve the Trust and Wealth Transfer needs of clients

Excellent communication and written skills- public speaking, presentation and sales skills

Has the drive, energy and influencing skills necessary to motivate constituents and their clients to actions

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, understandable manner

Demonstrated accuracy and completeness in all tasks, and follows up as appropriate.

Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills, detailed oriented, with good follow-up skills

Able to develop trust, rapport and respect with clients and team members

Develop strong interpersonal alliance and fosters collaboration among team members and business partners and supports enterprise view to support GWIM objectives.

Computer literate with preferred capabilities to run sophisticated trust and estate software for prospect/client consulting and preparing presentation tools for prospect/client meetings.

May require travel and/or occasional overnight stay.
