Assistant Manager's range of duties will vary depending on the branches size and staff, which will govern their management as opposed to functional role. Generally, assistant managers must assist and support the manager in leading a team of sales and service professionals to meet and exceed sales goals and customer delight targets. Responsible for daily implementation of Manager's directives. Routinely work with customers to uncover and satisfy their financial needs. Spend a majority of their time on the sales floor leading from the lobby, by greeting customers, directing them to the appropriate areas of the center, and ensuring that the customers needs are met. Observe banking center team in action through the eyes of the customer. Coach teams on the proper execution of key banking center, plays while role modeling the desired behaviors. Sell to individual customers and manage the day-to-day aspects of running a banking center. In manager's absence, assume operational responsibility for the banking center. Establish staffing schedule, teller recruiting and performance management. Accountable for the day to day management of sales and service fulfillment including operational excellence and compliance related to those activities, while frequently updating manager on these issues. Maintain the highest level of customer service and demonstrate core values and exhibit Bank of America Spirit in all actions. May be required to work weekends and/or extended hours and regular reliable attendance is critical. The position described herein may be performed differently within a BC based on many factors including the size of the office, the number of transactions, and the experience and amount of staff. 

Qualifications



Required Skills: High School Diploma/GED; Within the last five years, must have minimum of one to three years of direct management or supervisory experience leading, motivating, and developing a team of five or more associates in a service-focused environment; One year or more of sales experience in a goal and/or commission-based environment; Ability to manage difficult situations with customers and provide clients with information, data, and advice; Develop client relationships and build and develop partnerships with customers, suppliers and colleagues; Coach and motivate front-line employees.

Desired Skills: Management, sales, and/or service experience in the following fields: banking/financial services, mortgage, retail, or hospitality; Experience with performance evaluations; Bilingual (fluent verbal and written) skills.
