Senior Trader - International Equities
Reporting to the Head of Equity Trading, the Senior International Equities Trader is responsible for trading the firm’s international equities, derivatives and currencies, maintaining the flow of market and stock information to Portfolio Managers and Analysts, executing the most complex trading transactions in accordance with the Research and Soft Dollar budgets, and maintaining professional relationships with the brokerage community.- Trade firm’s international equities at the request of individual Portfolio Managers and/or Head of Equity Trading with the purpose of obtaining the best possible execution.
- Will be responsible for trading activities in all regions, including Asia, Europe, and the Americas, on a rotating basis, during live market hours for each region.
- Provide market and stock commentary and feedback to individual Portfolio Managers, keeping them abreast of all ongoing working orders.
- Execute trades in accordance with the Research and Soft Dollar budgets and in conjunction with obtaining the best possible execution.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Brokerage Community.
- May be responsible for team of securities traders and/or assistant traders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Economics required.
- Masters degree preferred.
- 8-10 years Market and/or Trading experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of international equity markets: Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
- Experience in negotiating the most important and complex trading equity and foreign exchange transactions.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient with Bloomberg, electronic trading systems, and other industry software as necessary.
- Must be able to work independently and in a sometimes stressful environment, as well as a member of a team.
