Description
Provides legal advice to Columbia Management, the asset management arm of Bank of America. Includes advice on adviser issues, with specific emphasis on portfolio management and trading activities and documentation and issues associated with the creation of private funds. Qualified candidates will have experience advising clients on issues related to soft dollars, proxy voting, and investments in complex securities.
Qualifications
Required:
In-depth knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Working knowledge of the Investment Company of 1940. Candidates will be expected to have at least 5-8 years experience in the above areas since admission to the bar. Strong analytical, written and oral communications and relationship building skills essential. Must be able to work effectively in a team setting and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
