Description
Manages the activities of a staff of legal product managers that support the Columbia Funds, the complex of mutual funds registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 (the “1940 Act”) and sponsored by Columbia Management, the asset management arm of Bank of America. Responsible for oversight and supervision of the legal product manager staff in connection with the creation, updating and filing of fund disclosure documents, including registration statement updates and prospectus supplements and for liaison with other managers in other areas of the organization to deploy resources to support business needs Coordinate with Legal Department 1940 Act attorneys on fund disclosure and other matters. Also responsible for management of fund disclosure content management system, including liaison with outside service providers. Assist with the implementation and monitoring of management routines related to registered fund matters. Prior management skills and knowledge of the disclosure requirements of the 1940 Act essential. Strong management, written and oral communication and relationship-building skills are essential. Must be able to work effectively in a team setting. Prior experience as a 1940 Act attorney useful but not required.
