Other Programs: Your Finances, Community Commitments, and Education

Bank of America also provides programs that support our associates in managing their finances, their community commitments, and their educational needs.

Associate Banking and Investments

Provides discounts and additional benefits on a wide range of banking and investing products. Associates may have two checking accounts with no monthly maintenance fee or balance requirement as well as additional checking benefits. Savings accounts are available with no monthly maintenance fee (restrictions may apply).

Associate Homeownership Program

Offers associates unsecured loans of up to $5,000 to help pay for part of a down payment, closing costs, rate buy-down or other expenses directly related to the purchase of a primary residence when the mortgage is obtained through Bank of America.

Joe Martin Scholarship Program

Scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 are awarded through a competitive program to associates' dependents age 23 or younger who meet academic and extracurricular activity requirements.

Matching Gifts Program

Associates may donate cash or securities from $25 to $10,000 to qualifying nonprofit organizations, and the bank will match the donations.

Volunteer Time

Provides opportunities for full-time associates to use up to two paid hours per week (including travel time) to volunteer at a local organization, including schools, shelters, food banks, mentoring programs, volunteer centers and similar organizations. Manager approval is required.

Volunteer Grants Program

An unrestricted grant is made to any qualifying nonprofit organization for which an associate has committed substantial volunteer hours within a calendar year.

Team Bank of America

Provides an associate with personal and professional development, as well as volunteering and networking opportunities outside the workplace. Team Bank of America has five networks: Diversity, Volunteer, Speaking, Recreation and Environmental.

Not all associates are eligible to participate in all benefit programs. The terms and conditions of the benefits described above may be governed by written benefit plans and/or other documents.
