Loan Servicing

 group provides vital support to the Bank's Mortgage units through the completion of multiple tasks associated with the daily management of closed mortgage loans. The successful administration of these duties bolsters our level of customer service, and continually strengthens our reputation as the world's most trusted lender.

These various tasks include, but may not be limited to: the application of monthly loan payments, administering the escrow account for the payment of property taxes and insurance, providing customer service, collecting on delinquent accounts, and various default servicing activities in an effort to help the borrower retain the property while mitigating losses to the bank and investor.

The two largest areas of servicing include Customer Contact and Relationship Deepening, and Home Retention.

Customer Contact and Relationship Deepening

 is responsible for answering incoming customer calls, e-mails or letters and addressing a wide variety of questions related to the mortgage or home equity loan. Through these interactions with the customers, this group will also look for opportunities to cross sell other bank products and services.

Home Retention

 works with the customer once an account becomes past due. They gather information in order to understand the customer's financial situation, and will work with them to find alternatives to having to foreclose on the loan. These alternatives may include a special repayment plan, or a loan modification.
